Our nation’s youth need our care and support in 2023 and beyond #OnTheUpswing

Since 2020, generous contributions from donors have enabled The Upswing Fund to support community-based organizations serving young people of color and LGBTQ+ youth and raise awareness of the ongoing adolescent mental health crisis. But as we close out another year that has been difficult for so many in our communities, we will continue to amplify the need for increased mental health services to support our nation’s youth.

In this end-of-year video, Upswing Fund Director Dr. Mark Long shares a personal message to highlight why our partners’ work is so important, and why we all need to commit to supporting adolescent mental health.

Mark is one of many who can relate to having to navigate traumatic experiences just for living as their authentic self. As they share in the video, Upswing’s partners are leading the way by providing culturally responsive and affirming care at a time when our communities face tremendous pressure.

We invite you to help us spread the word #OnTheUpswing by supporting the millions of adolescents who are counting on us to ensure they have access to culturally responsive mental health and well-being support.

We want all youth to feel safe, valued, and cherished.
